We were delighted when the Black Country of Commerce approached us to help create a brand identity for Future Link, their new business club for young professionals. The initiative aims to connect young professionals living, working or doing business across the Black Country to create opportunities for personal growth and career development.
The brand needed to engage the target audience and convey Future Link’s message whilst standing out from similar regional models.
First we researched Future Links offerings and business goals to generate concept ideas. Since the initiative promotes future career development we wanted to create a design that could evolve with the membership and promote it at the same time. A symbol was created for the brand to represent the linking aspect of the business club. We also designed sub logos by replacing the word “link” with other words to showcase the benefits of Future Link. From this the sub logos “Future Opportunities”, “Future Partners” and “Future Business” were formed. This flexible concept enables the brand to develop as the club grows and changes with its members as more sub logos can be added.
The brand was expanded across different marketing materials reflecting the concept by linking images with the logo symbol. We received great feedback at the launch of Future Link where lots of members and non-members took interest.
