We were asked by the Black Country Chamber of Commerce to create a brand identity for their new programme Start Up Business Club which launched earlier this year. We needed to create a brand concept and marketing materials that informed and attracted individuals in the early stages of their start-up journey.
The brief stated the branding had to stay fresh and seamlessly connect with the successful stories of the participants as the programme evolves.
We reviewed and thoroughly researched the objectives and aims of the new service for targeted idea generation. Three different concept proposals were presented to the Black Country Chamber of Commerce team, each one could be developed into a strong identity and work across all types of marketing materials.
The chosen logo design has the word “UP” positioned higher to reflect the meaning. This word could be replaced with skills or services the Start Up Business Club needed to promote. Having the option of using flexible sub-logos meant the concept can be easily adapted to suit new services as the programme grows and evolves over time.
Following the logo design we developed a range of print and digital marketing materials from booklets and pull up banners to email designs and social media images. The branding took inspiration from the diagonal line space in the logo and focused on key messaging and bold imagery. We received great feedback from our client and was told that their was a huge amount of excitement and joy in the Chamber when the final designs were presented.
